What is the difference between a mechanical keyboard and a membrane keyboard?
Mechanical keyboards have a physical switch under each key: they offer precise tactile feedback, greater durability and faster response times. They are the ideal choice for competitive gaming. Membrane keyboards are quieter, lighter and less expensive — perfect for office use or casual gaming.
What are switches and which one should I choose?
Switches are the mechanisms under each key of a mechanical keyboard. Red switches (linear) are smooth and quiet, ideal for fast gaming. Brown switches (tactile) offer noticeable feedback at mid-travel, great for alternating gaming and typing. Blue switches (clicky) have an audible click, preferred by those who like decisive sound feedback but noisier.
Wired or wireless for gaming?
For competitive gaming, a wired connection is still the safest choice: zero latency and no battery to charge. Modern wireless keyboards with 2.4GHz technology have narrowed the gap significantly, but for serious or tournament play the wired version remains preferable. For office use, wireless is more than adequate.
Do keyboards have a numpad? Does it matter?
It depends on the model. Full-size keyboards include the numpad. TKL (tenkeyless, without numpad) and compact 60%-75% keyboards take up less desk space and leave more room for the mouse — a common choice among gamers who prefer wide movements.
What does RGB backlit keyboard mean?
RGB allows you to customize the color of each individual key or apply animated lighting effects. On some gaming keyboards, lighting can be configured to highlight the most-used keys in a given game. It is managed through dedicated software.
Are the keyboards compatible with Windows 11 and Breunor PCs?
